Fact Video transmission can be accomplished within a few feet and up to 3 miles with the correct type of antennas. I'd like a barn camera and a shop camera. Do I have to have two video receivers? By using a switcher, or quad, you can watch multiple cameras with one monitor. |
Fact Wireless cameras require a clear line of sight from the transmitter to the receiver. Can I hardwire a video camera system? Yes, by trenching and putting the wire in conduit, or running overhead. Remember, you will need to hardwire the location of your receiver as well. Will I be able to see activity at night without additional illumination? Yes, cameras can be purchased with or without IR (Infrared) capability. Will a wireless video system work in my metal building or trailer? If the antenna can be mounted outside the building, or by transmitting through a window from within the building, yes. RF signals will not pass through metal!
